வாடகை வசந்தம்

காதல் வசப்பட்ட வேலை இல்லா பட்டதாரியின் அழுகுரல்



பாலை வனத்தின் பூவா நீ?
கரையில் தவழும் நுறையா நீ?
முட்டாய் இருந்தும் முள்ளாய் ஏன் மலர்ந்தாய்?
காலை பொழுதும், கருப்பாய் விடிய
கண்கள் கலங்குதம்மா,
காதல் கசக்குதம்மா!

கடமை மறந்த கணவை வெறுக்க
பொய்யில் குலிக்கும் புவியை வெறுக்க,
படித்த கரங்கள் விதியை திருத்தாதோ?
கையில் சிக்சா காற்றை போல
நழுவி ஓடுதம்மா!
விரக்தி கொள்ளுதம்மா!

  4. aggresion, anger, frustration etc are the key ingredients for a poet...for as i believe, most poetry are tragic. Thats partly because many poets have tragic life. Love failure is a common aspect of many poets life since times immemorial. There could be other failures too. So in some sense, it is a reflection of their life and thought process.

    But if you can create that make-to-believe angry and frustrated world, for the sake of beautiful poetry, and still maintain a semblance of normalcy in personal and professional life, thats even brilliant...

    But you don't have to get frustrated in life to write classic Tamizh poetry. Bharathiar wrote many lovely ones even when he was not frustrated in life. His frsutrated poetries are mostly the patriotic ones, reflecting sad state of the country then.
